Smileys & Shorthand (IM Lingo)
To
express emotions or facial expressions, there is Instant
Messaging lingo or Smileys that are universally understood.
Smileys are a combination of certain characters. Most common
are the : (colon) for the eyes and the )
(right parenthesis) for the mouth. There are a ton of
different combinations that you can use.
