Microsoft Visio Tips and Tricks

Full-Screen Visio Diagrams
If your screen space in Microsoft Visio® 2002 is too small to view your entire Visio drawing, press F5 to view the drawing in a full screen.

If you have a Microsoft IntelliMouse®, you can use the wheel to zoom in and out of the drawing.

Add Attractive Backgrounds to Visio Diagrams
A nice background image can add life to an otherwise dull diagram. In Visio Professional 2002, you can select from a range of attractive designs. Here's how:

1.            Open a diagram in Visio.

2.            On the File menu, point to Stencils, then to Visio Extras, and click Backgrounds.

3.            Drag the background design you want onto your drawing page.

4.            Click Yes when Visio asks if you want the shape to be the background image for the page.

Editor's Note: You can also apply a color scheme to your background. Right-click the drawing page, and then click Color Schemes. Click a color scheme, and then click Apply to see how the colors look. When you find one you like, click OK.
